What should I do if my child knocks out a tooth?

If a permanent or adult tooth is knocked out, keep it moist at all times. If possible, place the tooth back in the socket without touching the root. If you can't do that, put it between your cheek and gums, in milk, or use a tooth preservation product with the ADA Seal of Acceptance. (Author: ADA)
